Which Mount Etna tour should you choose?
In short: with kids, pick the 4x4 jeep tour or the easy Monti Sartorius walk; experienced hikers head for the summit area; with only half a day, the jeep and quad tours take about 2–2.5 hours. The north side (Piano Provenzana) is the closest to Taormina; the south side (Rifugio Sapienza) has the cable car.
