This tour has been created to savor the refreshing ambiance of Mount Etna on the hottest summer days, surrounded by the enchanting colors of the sunset.

The journey commences two hours before sunset at Piano Provenzana, the northern base of Mount Etna, where you will rendezvous with your volcanological guide. Here, a brief introduction to the geology and history of the volcano will be provided.

Embark on your hike along the eruptive fractures of 1911 and 1923, which paved the way for lava flows reaching the town of Linguaglossa. Admire the stark contrast between the black lava and lush vegetation, and gain insights into the flora and fauna thriving on the volcano.

Continue your ascent to the Bottoniera, a series of small craters formed during the 2002 eruption, one of the most violent and destructive of the last century. Witness the colossal lava fountains, ash plumes rising up to 10 km in the sky, and the lava flows that wrought havoc on tourist facilities and the forest.
